Tax Consulting

We offer daily support in corporate tax consulting to resident and non-resident investors in the country. We review and assist the daily management and calculations of a comprehensive number of Brazilian taxes, and corporate taxation regimes (actual, presumed and arbitrated profit, in addition to the cumulative and non-cumulative systematic contributions to PIS/COFINS). We have enormous expertise in international treaties that aim to avoid double taxation of income, in addition to business models involving business structures and companies abroad.

Our focus areas are: (i) financial institutions, brokers, securities dealers, insurance and leasing companies, managers and other participants in the financial market; (ii) factoring companies; (iii) service providers, including acquisition service providers and other participants in payment methods and credit card operations; (iv) technology companies and fintech companies; and (v) investment funds. We offer tax advice on foreign exchange and regulatory issues. We review all financial products and their tax impacts, with the objective of identifying possible opportunities for tax savings, always considering the business model adopted by financial institutions and similar entities.

In addition, we assist our clients in the understanding of legal, regulatory and tax challenges. We also facilitate structured operations for the acquisition of companies, assets, credits, securitization and restructuring. Thus, we invent and reinvent businesses by reviewing corporate structures, licenses and business models, enabling improvements that can have a positive economic and financial impact. We assist in structuring legal alternatives to improve the base capital. We work with investment fund managers and M&A boutiques, helping them to develop and implement the best investment structure for each business model.
