Bachelor’s degree in Law from University of São Paulo (USP) and Master´s degree student at the same University, focusing in tax law.
Having worked in a renowned full-service law firm in Brazil for almost a decade, Alina has broad experience in tax consulting, with emphasis in direct taxes. Her practice mostly consists of the analysis of tax aspects arising from merger & acquisition transactions, corporate restructurings in general, foreign investment structures (portfolio, direct investment, equity and debt), financial and capital markets transactions, transactions involving individuals including succession planning, international tax matters and digital economy businesses.
Alina is also experienced in administrative tax litigation dealing with high complexity matters, specially in the Federal and Municipal spheres.
She also has relevant experience in the analysis of corporate responsibility matters, having engaged activities in non-profit organizations’ projects and tax immunity and exemption cases.
Besides tax law, she has great expertise in commercial and economic law.
Alina is currently assistant professor at USP and has published several academic papers both in Brazilian and in international journals.
